Milan, a metropolis in Italy’s northern Lombardy region, is a global capital of fashion and design. Home to the national stock exchange, it’s a financial hub also known for its high-end restaurants and shops. The Gothic Duomo di Milano cathedral and the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent, housing Leonardo da Vinci’s mural “The Last Supper,” testify to centuries of art and culture.
Milan Cathedral is the cathedral church of Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
The Duomo di Milano is definitely a masterpiece in the heart of Milan. Featuring great architecture and standing fortified in the heart of the city, it is a marvel to view in person. I didn’t go in because the queue was very long but the experience outside was good enough, a great spot to take photos. The location around it is good with easy access to the train stations, and there’s always something going on in the courtyard outside. Definitely worth a visit when in Milan.

Nothing describes Milan better than the Duomo. The cathedral took nearly 6 centuries to complete. So lots of history there. It is the largest church in Italy – larger than St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. For a small fee, you can even go up the roof deck to get a closer view of the Church’s Spires and with it, a fantastic view of the City of Milan!
