Austria

AUSTRIA is a German-speaking country in Central Europe, characterized by mountain villages, baroque architecture, Imperial history and rugged Alpine terrain. Vienna, its Danube River capital, is home to the Schönbrunn and Hofburg palaces.

Vienna, Austria was our first destination since our family relatives fetched us from the airport to stay at their place. Their house was like an old apartment from the WWII since it’s really old my father said that he can feel some spirits through the walls but nevertheless it was a nice place to live and my tito’s/tita’s/cousins was very accommodating. We went to Europe at around end of October (semester break) till end of November so like we traveled Europe for 1 month.

Schönbrunn Palace was the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers. The 1,441-room Baroque palace is one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historical monuments in the country.

Even though you can see me squinting in the picture because the sun was really bright but it was really cold back then since we went in Autumn. We went inside the palace and it was really big and beautiful.

St. Stephen’s Cathedral is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna and the seat of the Archbishop of Vienna, Christoph Cardinal Schönborn

We didn’t had the chance to attend the mass since we were in a hurry but we managed to look around, light a candle and pray for a while. It was a nice experience since this is our first church visit in Europe. Vienna, Austria was an amazing place especially throughout the trip I’m with my family and all of us totally enjoyed it we were eating cold cuts and drinking wine non-stop even though we were a bit crowded in the house but we still managed to have fun. Tune in for my next blog!
